Why RGB looks more desaturated then CMYK?

I am working on a page in Illustrator, it's for print so I use CMYK color mode. Now when I open same file in Photoshop, whether it's CMYK or RGB, it looks pale and desaturated.

Basically I just want to save my work in jpeg to show someone, but I want it to have same colors as when I work on it, not the pale colors.

Any suggestions?
