Small Digital scale
A Digital scale is a weight measuring instrument. Its basic function is to provide an indication on how much certain body mass weighs. Solid body mass weights that are to be measured are place in the bowl-like surface of the scale. Traditional weighing scale or analogue weight measurement scales are made in such a way that the body mass in whose weight is to be determined is placed on the surface that bears similarity with a bowl or basin. On the opposite end of the scale is placed another metal block. The weight of the blocks are predetermined and inscribed even on their surface. Normally the block weights are preset at different weight values-for instance one kilogram, quarter kilogram, half a kilo, one pound or any other units of measurements applicable in different countries. The weight of the unknown body mass will be determined when the scale balances such that the weight being measured equals to the weight of the blocks on the opposite side of the scale. The number of the blocks with the known weights can be added or reduced until a balanced compromise is achieved. Balance can be achieved either by increasing the number of known metal blocks or, by reducing the size of the undetermined body mass. That is true with the analogue or traditionally used weight scales before the advent of the digital scales of today.
Unlike the digital scales, the traditional scales are very heavy and cumbersome to carry about. Its metallic design does not allow manipulation of packing, unless it completely dismantled into pieces. That would imply another inconvenience of reassembly.
On the other hand, electronic or digital scales provide the same functions. With it, however, there is no need to have Weight blocks with you. One simply needs to place the weight mass, whose weight is unknown on the digital scale surface. The weight exerted on the digital scale is transmitted through an electronic serial bus to the inputs of an electronic integrated microcontroller chip. The digital scale has got its electromechanical interlinks just below the surface where the body mass to be measured and determined is placed.
Unlike the traditional weighing scales, the digital scale is portable. The weight to be determined is displayed on an electronic liquid crystal display screen. The digital scale is very accurate with extremely minimal deviation tolerance. The many varieties available have widened their area of application. There are some digital scales which are so portable that you can carry it around with you from one point of town to another.

How to Scale Back the Appearance of Age Spots
Age spots are mainly due to long term sun exposure. Although sun is the number 1 reason for developing age spots, smoking, a unsatisfactory diet, poor liver function, and a diet rich in oxidized oils are also contributing factors.
These age spots are a result of the overproduction of lipofuscin, a dark substance produced by our cells. Age spots generally begin to appear when we are in our 30's and, besides being ugly, increase our possibility of epidermal carcinoma. As is the case with many skin conditions, age spots are better to stop than to treat. Eating a diet rich in green leafy veg, carrots, yams, and other foods that are high in carotene will help to reduce your chances of getting age spots in the first place. If you're already are suffering from age spots, don't loose hope. There are options available to you to reduce the appearance of age spots, as well as improve the final health of your skin.
There are a few products on the market today that will help in reducing the look of age spots. Fade creams are a popular choice among customers. These OTC creams contain moisturizers with a two percent hydroquinone content which is a bleaching agent that will aid in the fading process. Best results are obtained with the cream is used in association with glycolic acid moisturizer. Prescription creams that contain vitamin A, like Retin-A or Retinova, work more successfully than the OTC fade creams.
There are more aggressive options open to you for those going through a much more serious case of age spots. Chemical peels are one of these options. Using 30%-70% glycolic acid, the fading factor is way more told than in either of the creams mentioned above. The treatment is simple and can be done in a short quick} session, even on your lunch break if need be. You will need more than one treatment to get to the full effects of the process.
Laser resurfacing is another choice like the chemical peel. In this procedure, the age spots are literally burned off the skin's surface with a laser and can be accomplished in one treatment. It does have a recovery time of about one week and can be quite expensive.
For a more natural and inexpensive way to help prevent age spots simply limit your exposure to the sun and, when you're in the sun, wear sun lotion. Limit your alcohol intake and eat a well balance diet.
Which one of 12 balls is heavier or lighter than the 11 equal balls by using a balance scale 3 times.?
This is easy if the odd ball is known to be heavier or lighter before the balance scale is used. Clue use 4 balls on each side of the balance beam all 3 times. Right, left and center are the readings 27 in all but only 24 are needed for the solution.
The answer must list the number of each ball 4 on a side plus 3 times on the balance scale.
Yes, using principles from Design of Experiments makes pretty quick work of this:
Create a set of outcomes which are linearly independent and have equal amounts of "left" (-1) and "right" (+1) scale leanings for each trial. Here's one possibility:
A (+1, 0, 0)
B (0, -1, 0)
C (0, 0, -1)
D (+1, +1, 0)
E (+1, 0, +1)
F (0, -1, -1)
G (+1, -1, 0)
H (-1, 0, +1)
I (0, +1, -1)
J (-1, +1, +1)
K (-1, -1, +1)
L (-1, +1, -1)
HJKL and ADEG
BFGK and DIJL
CFIL and EHJK
If the outcome, for example, happens to be left, right, left, we would know that L is the heavier coin.
If the outcome were balanced, left, right, we would know that I is the lighter coin.
etc.
Try solving it with as few balls on each weighing as possible. Hint: The first will be 4 on each side, but the other weighings can have fewer balls.
Retrofit – Data Driven Weight Loss (FeldThoughts)

which I've finally decided I am going to do once and for all. As part of this,
