Ten Commandements of Laser Therapy
There are Do's and Don'ts for success in laser therapy. Satisfy these Ten Commandments and you will find your clinical success rates increase and patient satisfaction will soar to new heights. Now isn't that what it's all about? Oh and if you don't believe they are all important, try taking one away and see what happens. I dare you.
1. Proper Dosage- You must get between 4J/cm2 - 10J/cm2 into target tissue to have a proper therapeutic response. For instance 50cm2 deep tissue area will require up to 750J for maximum effect.
2. Wavelength-Determines penetration. Deep therapy requires the IR (Invisible Red) range of 790-1000nm. Wavelength is measured in nanometers. VR (visible red) in the 600nm range is too superficial for deep penetration. Don't believe me, read a physics book. Get the right wavelength or results decrease.
3. Laser on skin-Laser application must be in contact with the skin or exposed to skin surface. Adequate dosage cannot be obtained through objects like clothes, furniture, etc. Use common sense. If it sounds crazy, it usually is. Try therapy on skin and then through clothes and see which works. Bet I know the answer.
4. Power-Higher power decreases treatment time and increases laser photon energy deeper into tissue. 500mW compared to 10,000mW is a big difference in dosage and penetration. Low powered lasers take longer for a therapy session and longer to get results. (In my experience)
5. Proper Diagnosis-No laser in the world will help if you aim it at the wrong spot and simply chase pain. You should have an improvement within 3 visits or you are doing something wrong. The primary reasons laser therapy fails in clinical practice are an inadequate dose and wrong diagnoses.
6. Nerve Root-Always laser the nerve root associated with any physical condition. For example, tendonitis in the elbow can be caused by nerve root adhesions which shorten the muscle and increase length tension relationships at the origin and insertion resulting in inflammation.
7. Treat Proximal to Distal-Always treat the spine first and then the peripheral area. Stimulating the lymphatic system and nerves first, makes for a greater feedback mechanism of healing laser energy.
8. Skilled Training-Just like there is an art and science to chiropractic, there is an art and science to laser therapy application. Results will vary greatly from doctor to doctor depending on their training. A laser is only as effective as the skill of the clinician behind it. Make sure you are trained by a doctor, not a salesman.
9. Don't over treat-Too much laser is just as bad as not enough. Too much will inhibit cellular healing. You may get rid of pain, but ultimate healing is the goal. Remember why you became a chiropractor. Was it to simply get people out of pain or to heal them? High power with proper dose is the key!
10. Pick a Niche-Master a condition and become known as the "Guru' of that injury and you will become so busy you will be turning patients away. For example: Be the ‘Shoulder Pain Laser Doctor'. Specialize or perish! Business success strategy 101.
Take time to learn the truth about lasers. Don't even take my word for it. Research and see who is telling you the truth. Fancy brochures, pictures and sales tactics may make you buy a laser, BUT it will come back to haunt you and your patient's when the results are poor. Reality speaks for itself by results!!

Computer Systems Might Be Slowing Down
In 1965 Gordon Moore, the co-founding father of Intel, wrote a paper that made the observation that computer systems will double in pace every years. This maxim, now referred to as Moore’s Regulation, has held true for decades. It will seem now nevertheless that within the subsequent ten years Moore’s Regulation might no longer be valid.
Moore’s Regulation particularly refers back to the number of transistors that can be positioned on a pc chip, and the way that quantity may easily be doubled by manufacturers every years. Manufactures have readily met the requirements of this legislation since its inception, and as of 2008 the transistors which are utilized to computer chips will be so small that over 3.9 million of them would fit on the head of a pin.
Gordon Moore now says that by 2020 the legal guidelines of physics will catch up to pc chip producers and Moore’s Law will now not be a legitimate measuring tool. Mr. Moore revealed this data while speaking about the new Intel chip being marketed as the Penryn Processor. This new chip is not going to be widely obtainable until 2009, and its circuitry is 45 nanometers large (1 billionth of a meter vast) and incorporates over 800 million transistors.
The fact that Moore’s Regulation particularly refers to number of transistors and never computing speed has now turn out to be important. The 2 have been used interchangeably for many years, however it could appear that may not be the case. Many consultants consider that although the laws of physics will break down Moore’s Regulation, computing speed will continue to increase at the same price or potential even faster. This might be finished by way of alternative methods of chip manufacturing. One kind of different manufacturing known as nanotechnology which would focus on placing chips together a single molecule at a time. Jim Tully at Gartner group mentioned, “You may seek advice from this new breed of chips as ‘molecular gadgets’”. Science fiction could turn out to be science reality over the next decade as these molecular gadgets are even now in development.
While quicker chips are a concern for the manufactures, utilizing this velocity is the priority of the end user. Chips that contain billions of transistors are irrelevant if the software program the pc is running can not benefit from the speed. This has been the case with Home windows XP of late, and one of the reasons Microsoft released Vista. The new software program is designed to take higher benefit of newer and sooner chips in addition to higher levels of pc memory. “Though the Vista 32 bit model only uses up to 4 gig of RAM (same as XP), the Vista sixty four bit model can help 128 gig of RAM or extra”, says Dan Crawford, former Microsoft worker and software enthusiast. There are not any PCs at the moment capable of actually accepting 128 gig of RAM so this problem needs to be moot for a long time.
As soon as software program producers catch as much as the chips accessible even now, the pace by which users enjoy on there computer systems can be greatly increased. Chip speed is still an essential concern, however maybe not more so than the flexibility to actually make the most of that pace on a regular basis.

why i am not getting answers in questions on engineering and physics for laser and AI in yahoo answers ?
I just scanned through your questions to understand the reason. Most of your questions are higher level or requiring specialized knowledge or requiring lengthy explanation or boring. If you ask specific college level problems, you will find people here to answer them though it may not be me as my field is different.
