What is the Purpose of an ECG Device?
Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the United States today and one way to find out if you are suffering from any of the different types of heart ailments is through an ECG device. This device monitors the electrical activity of your heart through the electrode patches that will be attached to your chest, arms and legs. It can also be used to see if the patient responds to treatment or not.
The ECG is used to reveal heart rhythm problems such as arrhythmia and atrial fibrillation. This determine if your heart beats fast or slow and helps doctors come up with the right treatment options for you and as well as the most effective preventive care.
With the help of this device, disease in the coronary arteries can be revealed. However, there are some instances wherein the results of patients with severe clogged arteries return normal. When this happens, the test takes place while they are undergoing a stress test or exercise so that it would be easy for the device to reveal your problem in the arteries. This is actually the device used in stroke and atrial fibrillation screenings.
Taking an ECG test is also considered as one of the most effective preventive measures taken by people who experience chest pain, fainting, palpitations, dyspnoea or when they feel that their heartbeat is following an irregular rhythm. In addition to that, an ECG device is also used to see other heart problems and find out of the patient had a history of heart attack.
Since medical technology continues to advice, there are also other versions of ECG devices that were developed and one is a holter monitor. This is a portable ECG tool that can monitor your hearts 24 hours for 2 days the most. This is encouraged by doctors when they suspect ischemia or there's no enough supply of blood to the heart of your muscle. You can bring this device home, do all your activities except taking a shower and keep a journal of the symptoms and your overall experience.
Another portable ECG tool that your doctor can suggest is an event monitor. This records and stores all the electrical activity of your heart for a few minutes just by pushing a button. This is highly recommended to patients who experience signs of heart problems once in a while. Every time you experience symptoms you should use the monitor and relay the reading to your doctor. This device is used for weeks or can even last for months.
An ECG test is without a doubt one of the most helpful ways on how you can take care of your heart and your overall health of course. The main purpose of electrocardiogram is to find out if you have a heart disease and closely monitor the health of your heart. In relation to that, an ECG device can also find out symptoms that are related to heart conditions. So this is not only used to prevent heart problems but also decreases the risk of having complications later on.

Back Pain And Acute Edema
Back pain is caused from a variety of troubles such as “Acute Pulmonary Edema.” Edema builds up irregular and excessive fluids that trigger serious actions to the tissue cells. What occurs is similar to over watering plants. The plant will swell and steadily shrivel up away. Back pain can as well appear when overcoming with Sinus Surgery Recovery.
Edema in acute phases is defined as heart failure to 1 facet, but the dilemma extends to cause pain in the back. What occurs is when the heart is interrupted; it channels the fluids to tubes, vessels, ducts, and passageways that extend to the lungs.
Causes of edema:
Edema may arise from inhaling smoke, MI, CHF, Myocarditis, excessive I.V. intakes of fluid, Valvular illness, overdose of drugs, such as morphine, barbiturates, and heroin. Acute edema arises from ARDS (Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome) and Atherosclerosis.
The lack of heart pumping can trigger tension to the chest, which when the chest is scarred it affects the spines structure and mobility. Overarching the back is exactly where back pain begins, given that the chest is limited from scarring and/or edema.
Professionals will usually use X-rays, ABG exams, ECG, and check Homodynamic to learn edema. Of course, edema can steer to significant issues, such as Hypernatremia, Digoxin Toxicity, Hypokalemia, Excessive Fluid, and Pulmonary Blockage of the arteries, (Embolism), which starts blood vessels clotting and affects blood stream circulation. Hypokalemia will lower potassium intake that is necessary by system. What occurs is the decrease of potassium to the blood brings about extreme excretion of fluids that prospect to the muscles, which cause frailty. The back pain is not required the issue at this stage, given that the heart is the starting level, which could lead to cardiac arrest.
When acute edema is current, experts will sometimes restrict fluid intake, whilst administering I.V. fluids to substitute. Oxygen and meds are recommended. Sometimes the physician will request that the individual stay constant in a great placement, these as “Fowler’s.”
Symptoms:
Edema may present tiredness, coughing, JVD, Hypophysis, murmurs, Orthopnea, one-facet heart failure (Proper normally), minimal output of cardiac, exerted Dyspnea, and so on. The condition can trigger a variety of other signs and symptoms to emerge as well.
Specialists will request that the individual restrict fluid intake, and connect in oxygen treatment. Since edema causes excessive fluid buildup, isometric workouts, and bed, rest is needed. Isometric workout routines is the process of pushing muscles subsequent to a stout surface, whereas the muscles are place below pressure, yet restricted from contractions. The workouts are recommended in a selection of health treatments when back pain is concerned.
Edema likewise affects the joints, cartilages, muscle tissue and so on, which can cause kindness, ulcers of the legs, alterations of stasis, and so forth. Edema affects the veins found in the throat as well, which is one of the top starts of lumbago. To prevent traveling into the heart cavity and discussing heart circumstances, I will sum up edema and the brings about of backache.
As I described previously, backache starts with edema because when the heart is not pumping blood vessels it affects the connective tissues, ligaments, tendons, muscular tissues, cells, joints, etc. As you can see, when the skeleton components are targeted pain will happen from inflammation and irritation. The trigger of backache then starts with excessive fluid buildup rising from acute edema and/or peripheral edema circumstances.
To discover much more about edema and backache think about tendons, ligaments, disks, joints, connective tissues, neurological problems, and so on.
Backache has affected hundreds of thousands of men and women, however the top leads to emerge from nerve and musculoskeletal problems. Nonetheless, quite a few illnesses and problems can trigger back pain, such as edema. In truth, when physicians uncover musculoskeletal and nerve ailments, they usually link one of the possible brings about to edema.

E.C.G Report or Event monitor report?
My son who is 12 years old has just had an ECG done over a 6 day period. We live in the country and I have no way getting results for 6 weeks. Could any one please tell me what the following may mean. My son suffers many falls a day and dizzy spells which may be seizures or heart problems investigating both??
Events on ecg reported
Isolated Narrow Premas 70 detected
2 to 5 narrow Premas 26 detected
Isolated Wide Premas 510 detected
Narrow complex runs 9 detected
Relative Pauses 473 detected
Absolute pause 0 detected
Bradycardias 0 detected
Heart rate for the week was between :-
min 39 beats per minute
max 237 beats per minute
Average rate 100 beats per minute
The patients rhythm includes 8hr and 14 sec in tachycardia.
Please if any one has some answers it would be really appreciated.
Thank you
Tachycardia is high heart rate.
I won't comment on the results because it is not best for anyone in the medical field to do so expect the medical professional(s) involved in your son's situation.
I will however pass along this link in regards to tachycardia. Remember, all the information is general. So no panicking when you read it.
It sounds like your son is having a rough go, I hope this is sorted out quickly for him. Best of luck.

Smartphones Monitor Heartbeats Without Wires (Mobiledia)
Scientists developed a smartphone-powered heart monitor, leveraging handsets
to improve mobile medical technology for cardiac-related needs.
The non-invasive, wireless heart monitor can alert patients and doctors of
cardiac irregularities, thanks to researchers at the Switzerland's Ecole
Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL)'s Embedded Systems and
Telecommunications Circuits lab.
"This system collects very reliable and precise data, it's equipped with a
very effective noise filtering system, and it has batteries that can last for
3 to 4 weeks at a time," stated EPFL professor David Atienza.
He added the ECG app automatically analyzes heart rhythms and transmits the
information to doctors so they can easily scan for abnormal patterns.
Atienza explained the monitor works when users attach four sensors to their
bodies and wear a radio module around their waists in order to send heartbeat
signals to a smartphone.
EPFL's creation follows similar smartphone-powered cardiac inventions that are
becoming increasingly popular for their convenience and ease of use.
Azumio's "Instant Heart Rate" app recently hit the 10 million download mark,
as demand for mobile cardiac services grows. The app costs $1 to $3 dollars
and measures heartbeats with flash that monitor color changes in the light
passing through a person's index ...
